Position Overview: FGS Global is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Consolidations to lead and manage the global financial consolidation process. This pivotal role will oversee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple regions and business units, ensuring compliance with global accounting standards and corporate policies. The Director of Consolidations will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial integrity during a time of significant growth and transformation under KKR’s ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and mentor a global team of consolidation professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting practices and adherence to corporate policies.
Drive the professional development of the consolidation team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to meet the demands of a dynamic global business.
Oversee the end-to-end consolidation process, including the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data from multiple entities, managing intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations, and other complex accounting issues.
Develop and maintain consolidation processes and controls that ensure timely and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders. - Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including those related to KKR & Co. Inc. as a majority owner.
Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements for various compliance requirements in collaboration with external auditors.
Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact on the consolidation process and implementing necessary adjustments. - Process Improvement & Technology:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation process, including leveraging technology solutions.
Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to optimize the use of financial consolidation software and tools.
Lead projects related to system upgrades, integration of new entities, and other initiatives that impact the consolidation process. - Strategic Planning & Analysis:
Provide insights and analysis on consolidated financial results to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and other finance functions to align on financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
Play a key role in due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition into the consolidated financial structure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial consolidation within a global organization, preferably in a publicly traded company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with experience in SEC reporting.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing global team.
- Experience working in a private equity-owned company or a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial consolidation software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, Oracle FCCS), NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.

New York City Salary Range:
$150,000—$175,000 USD
