Role Overview
As part of the Leadership team, the Director of Connected Experiences is the thought leader around three key practice areas: Verizon's Secure Intelligent Communications, Anywhere Workplace Solutions, and Digital CX Solutions. In this role, the Director leads a team of highly skilled managers and sales specialists to set the strategic direction for the practice areas while managing the tactical day-to-day sales results.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and proactive visionary, driving operational readiness and strategic business initiatives to exceed objectives. The Director must be a strong leader, extremely well-organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-minded.
Key Responsibilities
- Align daily sales activity to the Verizon Credo.
- Maintain accurate forecast metrics and reporting.
- Direct, coach, and mentor sales leaders and teams to meet/exceed key performance metrics.
- Measure effectiveness of sales leaders and team's customer engagement, relationship development, and solution expertise.
- Adopt and measure sales teams and opportunity funnels with Verizon Velocity Selling.
- Matrix manage all stakeholders, including Marketing and Product management, to align to consistent strategy and execution worldwide.
- Partner closely with core sales leaders to identify, develop, and close additional opportunities at existing enterprise clients.
- Identify all key influencers and present the Verizon value proposition to executive-level clients.
- Help sales teams identify and overcome business and technical barriers to sale.
- Deeply engage in deal creation, deal financials, and deal execution strategies that will drive new logo growth.
- Build and retain strong relationships within the partner ecosystem.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- 6+ years sales experience with Enterprise Customers, with emphasis in Advanced Communications, SAAS, and/or IT space.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects.
- Ability to lead in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Track record of exceeding sales revenue.
- Successful sales management experience leading a multi-departmental team setup to meet specific customer requirements.
- Experience with solution selling to C-level Executives in the Fortune 500 and Global market, with emphasis on digital technologies and advanced voice communications.
- Strong business acumen and business financial analysis skills.
- Excellent project management, team leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working directly with senior executives.

- Extensive computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, and Google.

- Ability to interact at the most senior levels internal and external to Verizon.
- Ability to motivate and lead managers.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

- Ability to travel.
Work Environment
This role can be located in other valid Verizon locations. You'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.
