Title: Senior Manager, Business Development (Target)
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
Reports to: Senior Director, Target
Job OverviewThe role of this job is to commercialize sales and marketing programs with in-scope channels and to identify, develop and execute channel-specific, business-building opportunities. This person will work cross-functionally to deliver sales and profit results through commercialization of the overarching brand/trade strategies to the customer/channel.
Primary Responsibilities- Own the project management of Target initiatives by providing strategic direction, managing project timelines, and ensuring that deliverables are met.
- Identify and cultivate new value stream opportunities based on sound understanding of Target strategies that are in alignment with Newell strategies.
- Develop strategic platforms with a digital first mindset that integrate, align, and achieve customer, stakeholder and Newell business goals.
- Leverage storytelling expertise to create compelling presentations and coordinate the collection of information to inform and inspire key business stakeholders.
- Play a key role to both lead and support long-range planning, 3-year joint business plan development, annual customer planning, and Quarterly Business Reviews with the customer and sales teams.
- Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with goals, direction and deliverables.
- Collect and summarize business risks and opportunities.
- Work with enterprise lead to identify strategic priorities for the business and implement processes to ignite profitable growth, fuel innovation, and drive efficiencies within the organization.
Key Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a business-related field.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience and successful leadership of process improvement initiatives.
- Strong ability to work effectively and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret, summarize and derive insights from large data sets to drive decision making.
- Project management experience.
- Strong leadership, collaboration/peer relationship, influence, planning, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
- A relentless drive to seek, share and adopt ideas and best practices in and outside the company, and a readiness to embrace change introduced by others.
- Ability to balance priorities to meet critical objectives, while considering the impact of those decisions and activities on the ability to achieve long-term goals.
- Proficient in Windows Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
