Ticketmaster Music manages our global concert line of business. THE ROLE
The Sr director, MUSIC PRODUCT MARKETING brings the Ticketmaster Music product story to life and shares it with the world. We’re looking for a product marketing leader to lead a global team of product marketers, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of products designed for artists and their teams. This leader will work closely with the Artist & Promoter Relations, product, global b2b marketing and client services leaders from across Ticketmaster to bring innovative products to market, drive product adoption, and achieve commercial goals.
The Sr. Director of Product Marketing and their team will be the experts on our product, clients, competitors, and how we articulate the benefits of Ticketmaster Music in the global marketplace. This role will have significant impact supporting the full Ticketmaster Music suite of products and services, serving all global markets, and leading the go-to-market process for key, strategic product enhancements.
What You Will Be Doing
- Create cohesive product-led messaging and positioning that demonstrates deep product and client understanding, ladders up to the broader company narrative, supports strategic priorities, and provides competitive differentiation in market.
- Lead the creation of insight-driven, product-led positioning, messaging, GTM, and lifecycle strategy for all Ticketmaster Music products.
- Collaborate with Global B2B content team to define the music content strategy and scale our music story consistently across Ticketmaster owned channels to drive audience engagement.
- Partner closely with client services to ensure we hit our goals; arming the team with competitive intelligence, compelling sales collateral (e.g. demos and presentations), and product roadmap.
- Review, optimize, and maintain our go-to-market approach so that we drive the most demand and engagement from artist teams.
- Work closely with the Product team to plan launches of new features and capabilities and ensure that our launches are highly engaging and interactive for maximum impact.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- Extensive experience in product marketing: The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with music-tech experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the music industry: A strong understanding of the music industry and its players is essential, with a working knowledge of the live industry value chain (artists, managers, agents, promoters, venues and ticketing companies).
- Technical expertise: The candidate should have technical expertise in areas such as digital marketing, analytics, and social media.
- Excellent communication skills: The VP of Product Marketing should be an excellent communicator and natural storyteller, with the ability to create compelling marketing messages that resonate with live industry clients and stakeholders.
- Team management experience: Minimum of 5 years experience managing teams of marketers, designers, and other creatives.
- Innovative thinking: We’re a leader in transforming the live music industry, so you have demonstrated success leading the marketing strategies for similarly innovative platforms.
