The Editors Team at Klaviyo plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects related to Klaviyo's editors and templates. Our definition of "editors" encompasses the in-product tools that empower customers to craft their emails, SMS, and push messages. As one of Klaviyo's most widely utilized features, our projects are consistently dynamic and impactful, reaching a large user base. Our current emphasis is on enhancing the user experience by ensuring the editor is user-friendly and straightforward. Our objectives include incorporating advanced personalization features, integrating artificial intelligence, and transitioning our editors towards a seamless "in line editing" model. How You Will Make a Difference
- You will be a core member of the Editors team, working on impactful customer facing features that will make our product the best in the industry.
- You will work on creating easy-to-use editors that are highly performant.
- You will work closely with Product, Design, and Data Science to provide the best experience for our customers.
- Upcoming editors team projects include:
- Email Editor Inlining: Moving email editing from settings panels to editing “inline” on our email visualizer.
- Editor standardization: Aligning the SMS, Push, and Email editors to look similar.
- Email APIs: Creating an API to allow users to create, update, delete drag and drop blocks & templates.
- Personalization: Updating the editors to use variables & message specific logic tailored to users.
Who You Are
- Has experience developing full stack (our projects will be about 65% front end, 35% backend).
- Skilled at reading and understanding code, across a variety of codebases.
- Strong desire to learn and not afraid of a challenge.
- Able to communicate well with teammates.
- Excited to be highly collaborative.
- (Nice to have) familiarity with creating reusable components.

- React, TypeScript, Redux.
- Python, Django, Celery.
- MySQL, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Redis.
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, Aurora, etc.), Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and other DevOps tools.
The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.
Pay Range For US Locations:
$123,200—$184,800 USD
