The Director of Leisure Sales - Luxury Accounts is a business travel/leisure travel sales person who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in sales, account management functions and the hotel/business travel industry. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel and wholesale groups. Duties include managing current accounts, ensuring proper solicitation of all transient markets, and includes a dynamic travel schedule to major cities within market.
Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals and presentations, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, utilization of Hyatt technology systems, and coordination of customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate. The Director of Leisure Sales - Luxury Accounts will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales, and other staff meetings. The Director of Leisure Sales - Luxury Accounts also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

The salary range for this position is $97,800 - $151,400. This is the pay range for this position that Park Hyatt Aviara reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of key accounts and agencies within the luxury travel segment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated success in business travel or leisure sales
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, hotelligence, rfp express, lanyon, and salesforce.com
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills training
- Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
