Your Role
In this role as the Senior Manager, Global Benefits, you'll serve as a key resource for all benefits-related matters supporting the Global Total Rewards team at Aptiv. You'll support the design, administration, and delivery of all benefit programs to ensure competitive positioning in order to attract and retain top talent.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage benefits administration (Health and Welfare and Retirement plans) in conjunction with third-party administrators, vendors, and internal employee service groups.
- Analyze and make recommendations to benefit design changes (e.g., medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, etc.) to ensure effective and efficient benefit programs and benefits management.
- Coordinate globally with regional Total Rewards colleagues to deliver competitive and cost-effective benefits.
- Coordinate with supplier management and/or external consultants to develop requests for proposals or information for benefit plans as needed. Serve as the project leader to ensure that all stakeholders and team members are kept apprised of progress and delivering required elements of requests.
- Provide strategic oversight of Aptiv's global recognition program and manage the impact of the program against established performance metrics.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and recommend changes to benefit plans/programs to ensure compliance.
- Manage/Leverage external resources when required to ensure regulatory compliance related to benefit plans (ACA, ERISA, FMLA, MHPAEA, etc.).
- Establish and maintain internal controls and audit functionality and ensure that vendors also utilize adequate internal controls and monitoring on an ongoing basis.
- Oversee staff responsible for leave of absence programs and compliance.
- Assist vendors in creating and maintaining accurate, user-friendly benefits content on employee websites, as well as on-line benefit platforms.
- Oversee special benefits projects related to annual enrollment and year-end testing including annual audits as well as vendor searches/implementations and benefit design reviews.
- Provide a high level of service to employees and HR business partners around benefit matters and escalated issues.
- Oversee the monitoring of employee data files from Workday (HRIS) to payroll and benefit administrators. Team audits payroll data prior to payroll processing events.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics.
- 7+ years of effective administration and oversight of employee benefit plans, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment.
- Managerial experience with small teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience presenting and interacting with senior leadership.
- Experience effectively analyzing complex sets of data.
- Workday reporting experience is an advantage.
