The Senior Marketing Manager oversees the Marketing & Engagement Management for Mixed Use Development (Retail, Office, Multifamily, Hospitality). The Senior Marketing Manager leads and executes engagement programming and activities to the tenants, local community, and residents.
Responsibilities
- Development of the annual marketing plan for the property based upon the center’s strategic goals.
- Creation of marketing budget to support the marketing plan; ongoing monitoring of the marketing budget; monthly re-forecasting and adjustment as needed to meet year-end projections.
- Analysis of sales and statistical data, financial reporting, public relations, media buying, traditional and digital media management, program results documentation, and general administrative duties.
- Develop and effectively execute sales promotions, special events, and internal and external communication strategies to drive tenant sales.
- Establish an ongoing partnership with tenants to maximize individual store sales through retailer communications/sales promotions/visual merchandising.
- Effectively manage the center’s digital media programs (social media, mobile, web) as applicable.
- Utilize market and consumer research to develop the center’s marketing plan and support the leasing efforts.
- Partner with the Leasing team to support the leasing efforts by compiling relevant information and creating professional, compelling sales materials.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the trade area including all competitive properties, market and customer demographics, and available media.
- Partner with Specialty Leasing to develop and implement local and corporate ancillary income opportunities to generate additional revenue for the property.
- Review monthly sales reports to ensure a thorough knowledge of retailer sales; track key retailer and category trends.
- Develop an ongoing public relations action plan as needed; send out press releases; track publicity.
- Follow corporate policies and procedures for all programs and events.
- Complete special assignments as directed by the General Manager and/or Regional Marketing Manager.
- Manage and schedule building amenities (i.e., conference spaces, fitness facility, tenant lounges, etc.).
- Special event planning for meetings and events occurring at the property for clients and tenants directly.
- Curate unique and worthwhile activations in public and private event space in conjunction with onsite retailers.
- Coordinate property synergy between office tenants, retailers, residents, and dining establishments.
- Create property programming with the goal of creating a property-wide sense of inclusion and community.
- Plan robust program within property budget.
- Assist property management team in creating welcome collateral and events for new tenants.
- Facilitate fitness instruction, classes, events, supply ordering, etc.
- Utilize common areas for pop-ups and activations for tenant engagement.
- Maintain “back-end” of property app, if applicable.
- Partner with Property Management and Retail Marketing Team to manage property social media sites and upload engagement activity to drive and increase participation and awareness.
- Partner with Property Management to create internal marketing messaging and collateral for property programming and events.
- Act as a building ambassador, including maintaining a welcoming presence in public spaces when requested and during events.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for best price, product, and service.
- Work with Experience Management corporate team to grow a local Preferred Vendor list.
- Promote and engage tenants to participate in building programming.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a marketing team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a deep understanding of market trends and customer insights.
- Proficient in digital marketing strategies and tactics, including social media, content marketing, and SEO.
- Experience in brand management and building brand awareness.
- Proficient in market research and analysis to identify target markets and customer segments.
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
- Strong project management skills to oversee multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and work with cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable goals and driving ROI from marketing efforts.
