Klaviyo operates a real-time data analytics platform coded primarily in Python that is built for massive scale and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Engineers come to Klaviyo with experience in a variety of languages and from a number of disciplines.
The Attribution team is responsible for building and maintaining our attribution models within Klaviyo. Attribution models help our customers understand the impact of their marketing strategies within Klaviyo by tying revenue to actions. In addition, the team owns some key reporting areas that help our customers understand their business performance. The team is full stack, responsible for developing and productionalizing attribution models as well as reporting on the model effectiveness.
We are looking for a curious Software Engineer II with a strong sense of ownership and an excitement of working at the intersection of mathematical algorithms and software engineering. You'll help develop new query patterns to access data to power attribution reports, learn a variety of access patterns into different data storage technologies, and have ownership over a vital part of Klaviyo’s software. Your tech stack will include Python, Typescript, React, AWS, Kubernetes, and Django.
How You Will Make A Difference
- Deliver key product capabilities in the attribution and conversions area
- Work with data volumes representing several orders of magnitude to deliver experiences that provide value to our smallest as well as largest customers
- Work cross functionally with product, design, and data science to build, test and optimize products
- Build highly tolerant, reliable and performant software engineering systems with integrated data science and machine learning capabilities
- Have ample opportunities to learn and grow
Who You Are
- 1+ years of experience working in a SaaS product in full stack capacity
- Able to write clean code following software engineering and object-oriented best practices
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language
- Degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline
- Able to communicate ideas well using documentation, design reviews and presentations
- Able to work with others in an agile team environment
- Able to break down difficult problems and solve them
- Able to learn continuously and adapt to a high growth environment
The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. $123,200—$184,800 USD
