Vice President of Operations, Supply Chain & Logistics
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the CEO, this role will have responsibility for successful delivery of quality products on-time and within budget.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, operations, and team leadership in electronics manufacturing environments, with deep experience in building and maintaining OEM and supplier partnerships.
- They will be responsible for developing and executing our supply chain and operational strategy.
- Responsible for supply chain management, logistics, procurement, strategic materials, contract manufacturing relationships, customer service and support strategy across a variety of e-mobility solutions for global markets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for cultivating, enhancing, and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Develop and implement methods and systems for improving operational efficiencies, and control supply and inventory.
- Regularly communicate with internal and external partners to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment on expectations.
- Manage the procurement function committed to identifying strategic sourcing opportunities that drive cost efficiencies, quality improvements, and innovation.
- Identify sourcing opportunities, service improvements and product standardization consistent with the goals of meeting the customer expectations.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors and suppliers to measure performance, quality, and delivery accuracy.
- Ensure suppliers' adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain related to vendor and supplier relationships, and develop mitigation plans.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities.
- Ensure projects are completed on-time, on-budget, meet client expectations and comply with corporate goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on broad-spectrum experience in supply chain and operations with global electronics manufacturing partners.
- Experience working with suppliers throughout Asia is required; automotive/EV experience preferred.
- Experience successfully moving products from prototype stages to full-volume production with manufacturing partners.
- Experience building a successful operations team, manufacturing engineering, document control, logistics planning, customer service and support and production control.
- Demonstrated track record evaluating and qualifying vendors, managing vendor relationships, qualifying vendor processes, and developing methods to ensure continued vendor performance domestically and abroad.
- Strong project management experience with the ability to analyze multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong executive presence and leadership skills with the ability to effectively organize cross-functional teams and manage and motivate others.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively build relationships with peers, leaders, key stakeholders and customers globally.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of optimizing supply chain processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Ideally, the candidate is based in the greater Boston area.
