Description
In order to make a lasting, positive impact and change in the health equity of the communities we serve, leveraging the support of key stakeholders will be critical. As health equity is driven by healthy partnerships, collaborations, engagement, and data-driven analysis, innovative, experienced leadership is essential to drive change through equitable solutions and intentional, systemic partnerships. The AVP Community Health & Community Engagement will identify, cultivate, and measure the effectiveness of community resources and partnerships across Humana lines of business, internal stakeholders, and external communities and markets to lead Humana's efforts to maximize engagement and realize measurable impact on whole person health and health equity in the communities in which we work and serve. This role is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the implementation of enterprise strategies, programs, and community outreach, diversity, health equity, and inclusion strategies in partnership with stakeholders and partners.
Responsibilities
The AVP, Community Health & Engagement will be responsible for:
- Creating and leading strategic areas of focus and Health Equity community health engagement strategy/framework to support all lines of business in achieving long-term growth and alignment.
- Providing strategic thought leadership in areas of health equity community engagement and partnership.
- Identifying key partnerships and necessary interventions and programming by market.
- Developing, managing, and maintaining cross-functional collaboration with responsibility to implement and operationalize strategy.
- Leading the end-to-end strategy, including oversight of the design and implementation of Community Health Assessments.
- Overseeing and providing strategic direction for ensuring connective touchpoints with the Foundation and Bold Goal team.
- Creating and leading the development and implementation of digital tracking/measurement of community investments.
- Providing strategic oversight, development, and management of communities of practice, including the education and organizing of projects/initiatives to bring communities and organizations together around common causes.
- End-to-end ownership and development, expansion, and management of all internal-facing partnerships to engage the Humana Associate population.
- Identifying opportunities for ongoing internal and external training and education, and collaborating with internal and external teams to implement methods and measure effectiveness.

Role Essentials:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Communication, Public Health, or other related course of study or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform successfully as a leader of other leaders, teams, and cross-functional groups.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading successful teams with a culture committed to execution, collaboration, communication, and a positive growth and learning environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders (MT and SVP levels).
Additional Information
Location: Open, however, Louisville is a strong preference.
Travel: 30-40%.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.
