DescriptionSUMMARY: Manages technical quality operators. Plans, conducts and oversees engineering projects, manufacturing assignments, design and or repair assignments which are complex and difficult and require expert application of engineering knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set goals and objectives for Engineering, Training, and Process Improvement.
- Ensure Areas of Responsibility meet goals and objectives by providing systems, resources, and training as needed.
- Oversees the work schedules of assigned personnel to meet completion dates, technical specifications and budget limits.
- Ensure that appropriate resources are provided to enable engineering support and training support be provided for all AAR projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Provides project management and technical leadership to engineering managers.
- Actively participates in business and strategic planning for assigned division.
- Performs such individual assignments as the General Manager may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and community.
- Maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department.
- Ensures adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.
- Interface with all other departments to ensure a cooperative effort.
- Acts as Quality System Management Representative (QSMR) for ISO9001.
- Member of the Quality System Review Board (QSRB).
- May be required to travel to customer sites.
- All other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) or Bachelor of Science degree (BS) from four year college or university or eight years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Broad technical and analytical engineering experience as applied to product and/or repair design, manufacturing and process development as usually evidenced by completion of an engineering degree. In depth understanding of business administration functions including accounting and human resources as evidenced by at least 5 years management experience. Excellent written and oral communications skills and technical presentation skills.
