Lead AEM Backend Engineer (Director level)
Are you an experienced forward-thinking AEM Back End Software Engineer who thrives on learning and leveraging new technologies/concepts? As a member of the U.S. Segment IT team, you will be focused on delivering AEM CMS solutions that will enable our marketing team to increase go to market quickly and promote new products and aid in sales. The right individual must be able to provide technical leadership/guidance working and collaborating with our Product Owner and a team AEM Engineers and UX designers. Job Accountabilities:
- Technology leader with hands on & extensive involvement through design, discovery and execution.
- Development and presentation of POCs/prototypes to a large audience and key partners of Product as and when required.
- Document design approaches and present to cross functional teams.
- Design and implement solutions and develop digital consumer experiences based on foundation of the AEM product suite, including AEM, CRX, and DAM.
- Drive project scope and timeline definition based on collaborative needs assessments.
- Propose technology solutions to enable the business to meet/exceed those goals.
- Design and code from specifications, evaluate, test, debug, document, write unit tests for and implement complex software apps.
- Develop solutions based on Adobe AEM 6.x versions, Java, JavaScript, J2EE and related technologies.
- Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components, and services, AEM launches, workflows, localization features, AEM Mobile and Forms applications and the AEM DAM.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve technical problems related to content management such as search result accuracy, dynamic content linking, formatting, image scaling, and personalization.
- Translate marketing and web site needs into AEM specific recommendations and solutions.
Experience and Education:
- 5 years of experience with J2EE development including enterprise web applications development, Rest services and User Interface (UI) techniques and technologies.
- 5 years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager with knowledge of Templates, Layouts, components, APIs (OSGI).
- 5 years of experience with application performance tuning, caching and CDs such as Akamai.
- 2+ years of experience with Github, Sonarqube and enterprise devops pipelines/tools.
- Experience working on cloud platforms - AWS or Azure.
- Experience working on API/Microservice integrations.
Nice to Have/Definite Edge:
- Solution architecture experience is a plus.
- Experience working with different Azure and AWS offerings and AEM deployment topology.
- Experience with Cloud Manager.
- Experience with AEM Forms.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and related technologies.
- Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues.
- Experience and desire to work within a fast-paced, iterative development environment, experience with Agile.
- Experience building CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Team city or Jenkins.
- Familiar with Jira as an agile task management tool.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Salary range is expected to be between: $117,390.00 USD - $218,010.00 USD
