The Role
The Vice President of Workplace is responsible for the growth, strategy, and operations of Veeva’s worldwide offices and work locations. This leader is focused on supporting the productivity of Veeva’s employees and customers around the world. The VP ensures the right type of environment is available for all Veevans to enable them to do their best work, whether in the office or at home, collaborating or working alone. This leader understands the importance of place, and takes pride in creating high quality workplaces that stand the test of time. The VP works with Veeva’s global regional presidents and owns the business plan to support Veeva’s expansion across North America, EMEA, and LATAM.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a workplace strategy that embodies our "Work Anywhere" philosophy, ensuring alignment with our corporate values.
- Drive the strategy with purpose and intensity, focusing on continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Outline a comprehensive approach for utilizing various types of workspaces (owned, leased, and shared) across global locations, including newly established areas, established regional centers, and the main corporate headquarters.
- Design and support a global strategy for centralized lease and budget management, ensuring efficient and effective workspace utilization.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and Employee Success teams to establish and evolve construction and maintenance standards.
- Drive projects that support Veeva’s growth, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Advocate for and embody the Workplace vision and values, ensuring facility projects and events reflect Veeva’s culture.
- Develop and maintain a standards guide with the team to ensure consistency and adherence to Veeva’s values.
- Lead and manage a global team of facilities leaders, office managers, workplace services employees, and support staff, upholding a consistently high standard of customer service culture.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment across all team members, driving excellence and customer satisfaction worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Hospitality, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years leading workplace within growth-oriented companies.
- Knowledge of general construction project management and engineering in a global context.
- Demonstrated experience in business strategy and planning.
- Proven ability to manage a global budget and team, with strong skills in business relationship management and vendor management.
- Strong risk assessment and judgment skills.
- Experience driving workplace strategy and company culture using a multi-faceted approach.
- Early career experience in hospitality, retail, or property management.
- Global travel required.
- Hybrid role; ability to be in the office 4 days per week.

Compensation
- Base pay: $175,000 - $300,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
