WHAT’S THIS ROLE?
Zentro is hiring a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory and Procurement Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing our inventory that we use to build our networks in a growing number of metropolitan networks across the US. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure seamless inventory management and cost-effective procurement. The position is a direct report to our Corporate Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or shortage risks.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates, analyze demand patterns, and forecast future inventory needs to support the expansion of the Zentro Internet network.
- Coordinate with Field Operations, Project Management and Engineering to gather information on inventory requirements and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality and reliability of supplies.
- Lead monthly inventory reconciliation process, identifying and reporting discrepancies between physical counts and digital records.
- Oversee relationships with our suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and routine check-ins to ensure on-time and in-full compliance of deliveries and accurate inventory reporting.
- Lead the procurement process, including identifying suitable suppliers, obtaining quotes, and making purchase decisions.
- Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices to recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise the warehouse team to oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
- Utilize and maintain inventory tracking systems and tools to provide real-time visibility into stock levels, transaction histories, and inventory valuation.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and key performance indicators to present to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager, Procurement Manager, or similar role.
- Proficiency in leveraging and maintaining inventory management software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
COMPENSATION
- $80-$90K, depending on experience.
