BAE Systems Strategic Missiles Product Area Director - Hybrid Nashua, New Hampshire
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Responsibilities
- Provide proactive leadership of a key strategic portfolio to achieve customer commitments and growth expectations.
- Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio leading by example and driving program performance excellence.
- Develop and execute strategic business plan consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company, including forecasting and meeting financial objectives.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships at various levels with the US government and prime contractors and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and confidence in BAE Systems.
- Develop a capture strategy to keep the growth pipeline filled for the product line.
- Represent our company at senior executive levels across industry and government customers.
- Establish PGSS product relationships within and across the business, as well as with vendors and industry partners.
- Take an active role in development and execution of a growth strategy to support the product line's integrated business plan and technology growth plan.
- Foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable seeker solutions.
- Measure and regularly report out on program results to company senior executives.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence. Lead through inspiration and encouragement to enhance employee performance, engagement, and overall team optimization. Take action and make decisions regarding personnel matters.
- Demonstrate a leading role in promoting adherence to the company's ethical standards and business practices; ensure compliance with the BAE Systems Operational Assurance Framework and all other policies and requirements; provide for good stewardship of the assets of the business.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle. PMP certification desired.
- Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and overall team development skills with the ability to achieve results through others.
- Experience establishing and building customer relationships and the ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and customers.
- Understanding and experience with risk and opportunity management, defense contract types, and earned value management techniques.
- Knowledge of Government contracting current acquisition trends and customer/competitor behaviors.
- Ability to acquire and maintain DOD Secret clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Proven record of successfully leading large, complex development and production programs.
- Experience with portfolio management and strategy creation/execution.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $164,000 - $278,800. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
