Job Title: General Manager
Job Description: The GM is pivotal in driving the restaurant's success and upholding Frisch's vision of being an exceptional place to work, dine, and invest. This role involves hiring and nurturing staff who embody Frisch's values, thereby fostering company growth. The GM is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction, overseeing financial performance, maintaining food safety, delivering quality service, and ensuring the safety and security of the restaurant. Additionally, the GM is responsible for embodying and promoting Frisch's culture within the team.
Salary and Benefits:
- $58,000 to $65,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a culture that prioritizes outstanding customer experiences.
- Lead with integrity and foster growth and development within the team.
- Provide clear direction, delegate tasks to management staff, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Conduct management meetings to communicate goals and strategies for achieving or surpassing performance standards.
- Manage financial objectives through forecasting, budgeting, and controlling expenditures and waste.
- Set weekly sales and labor targets, manage profitability, and implement corrective actions to meet company objectives.
- Oversee staffing levels, including final approval of weekly schedules, and hold ultimate authority over staffing decisions with HR support.
- Drive sales and customer counts by leading by example in delivering an excellent customer experience.
- Implement local marketing initiatives and support community involvement.
- Ensure all customer complaints are addressed promptly and satisfactorily.
- Oversee compliance with health, safety, and security regulations, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-3 years of management experience or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- ServSafe Certification preferred or able to obtain certification prior to completion of training.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, including public speaking.
- Proficient in training, motivating, evaluating, coaching, delegating, and supervising.
- Strong ability in math and organizational skills, and to accurately follow recipes.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks, managing stress, and professionally handling customer concerns.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Significant customer interaction, operation of cooking equipment, and navigating slippery surfaces.
- Requires prolonged standing, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and engage in various physical activities like bending and climbing.
- Ability to work in different temperatures, including refrigerated areas and around hot or cold foods.
