CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Palco is growing, and we need a leader who can guide the financial systems that empower us. We are searching for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued success.
This position works closely with the CEO and President of our organization. The CFO will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. This position oversees the Accounting, Billing and Tax Departments.
The CFO leads, identifies and develops the tools, resources, and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the President and CEO and organizational leadership and makes actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations. Oversees long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the organization's strategic plan.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support both short-term and long-term organizational goals, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability improvement.
- Provide financial leadership and strategic direction to senior management, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and business objectives.
- Identify and develop tools, resources, and systems to deliver financial and operational information to the Executive Team and board, offering insights for decision-making.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including financial statements, budget analyses, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies to mitigate risks and maintain the company’s financial integrity.
- Develop and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and enhance operational efficiency.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Management
- Direct the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, and forecasting to inform the company’s strategy.
- Manage cash flow, including projections and cash management strategies to ensure the company has adequate liquidity.
- Oversee capital structure, including current and future investments, to optimize the use of resources and maximize returns.
Operational Oversight
- Lead and manage the Accounting, Billing, and Tax Departments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all financial operations.
- Develop and maintain internal safeguards for revenue, expenditures, and budget adherence to ensure organizational fiscal health.
- Ensure payroll efficiency through process innovation and technology adoption.
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, train, and retain a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering an environment of trust, accountability, and collaboration.
- Provide dynamic leadership that enhances team productivity, ensures professional growth, and builds a strong financial team.
Risk Management
- Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, balancing risk with growth opportunities.
- Ensure the organization’s long-term fiscal health by evaluating potential impacts of business decisions on financial stability.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on all financial matters, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
- Communicate financial performance, risks, and strategic priorities to owners, the board of directors, and other key stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA certification required.
- 5+ years of experience in a Chief Financial Officer or senior financial leadership role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide financial strategy and foster team development.
- Extensive experience with audits, financial management, and implementing best practices in finance and operations across diverse organizations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and management levels.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
