Product Management, Vice President - Chicago
The Position
Brookfield PSG is seeking a Product Management professional to join the Investor Relations team in its Chicago office. This person will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for marketing Brookfield PSG Real Asset Debt and Real Asset Solutions to a global, institutional client base. The individual will be an advocate for their strategies, striving for compelling and consistent messaging across all internal and external communications that will drive and retain assets under management within the institutional distribution channel. The person will establish a strong partnership with the Real Asset Debt and Real Asset Solutions investment teams as well as the Client Relationship Management and Investor Relations teams. The role entails also working with Brookfield’s Wealth Marketing team, Brookfield’s Corporate Brand and Communications team as well as external agencies.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling and differentiated product positioning for existing and new solutions, working closely with business partners, monitoring the macro and market environment and evaluating the competitive landscape.
- Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of product-specific marketing collateral and campaigns ensuring consistency of messaging (including RFP content, pitch books, 1:1 client communication, fact sheets, and commentaries).
- Proactively suggest and research new thought leadership, educational and value-add content based on market, economic and competitive landscape that support the sales and servicing of their strategies.
- Develop new and engaging ways to articulate messages through high-impact media such as microsites, videos, audio, and presentations for scaled distribution and individual sales engagements.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate investment performance, working with Portfolio Management, Finance, Accounting and Legal.
- Provide ongoing product, investment and market updates as well as competitive analysis to the sales teams and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare materials including economic and market insights for conferences, conference calls, one-on-one meetings, executive speaker opportunities, board meetings and brand building initiatives (advertising, PR, digital assets, including social).
- Provide support for the investor relations/marketing team regarding available data for respective investment strategies.
- Build consensus through stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organization, including Portfolio Managers, CIO, Head of Sales, and all levels of the broader Investor Relations team.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or another related field or demonstrated comparable experience.
- 7+ years of investment product management experience working for asset manager, hedge fund, private equity or similar firm.
- In-depth understanding of, and experience working with, institutional asset owners (public pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, health care institutions, etc.)
- Strong interest and passion in financial services marketing, and experience with a broad set of asset classes including public markets (equities and fixed income), alternative assets, real assets experience is preferred.
- Ability to develop high-impact content that resonates with institutional audience and ability to tailor messages for a global client-base.
- Passion for simplifying complex concepts, working directly with subject matter experts such as portfolio managers and legal professionals—transforming technical insights into approachable and consumable formats.
- Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills and ability to use data to make strategic decisions.
- Ability to build consensus among several stakeholder groups including portfolio managers, CIO, Head of Sales, and at all levels of the broader Investor Relations team.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent project management skills, including an ability to exert influence and move projects and multi-component campaigns forward in a complex environment.
- Desire to work in a team environment possessing strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong familiarity of regulatory framework.
- MBA and/or CFA preferred, but not required.
