The Delivery Enablement (DE) team supports internal stakeholders by providing a robust operational backbone across TAS, TES, OCFO, PI, IM, IB and TRS. The team includes Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Marketing, Data Analytics, Accounting & Finance and Delivery Excellence. As Portage Point continues to grow the DE team is laser focused on scalability, quality and automation.
The VP, Learning & Development (L&D) role is for a self-starting, dynamic and driven individual that will be the second member of the human resources (HR) team. This position reports directly to the Director, People and will play a crucial role in developing, implementing and evaluating L&D programs that enhance team member skills and knowledge. This role requires a passion for developing team members, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. This role will also support other HR initiatives, as needed, during high volume times and overall HR strategy execution. The ideal candidate excels in a high-paced, professional services environment and has exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and analyze comprehensive L&D needs to identify skill gaps and opportunities
- Lead content creation and learning design, guiding and supporting subject matter experts (SMEs) ensuring quality and consistency
- Project manage (plan, coordinate, facilitate, execute) all L&D programs
- Adapt L&D methods based on audience and refine content to align and scale with the organization
- Measure the effectiveness of L&D initiatives continuously improving content and strategy
- Leverage metrics such as training completion rates, learner satisfaction scores and team member skills reporting / database to drive L&D opportunities
- Apply new technologies, methodologies and best practices in L&D
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization through various communication channels, initiatives and platforms
- Deploy skills and experiences survey, manage and update team member skills and experiences via technology platforms
- Support other areas as needed but not limited to onboarding, performance management, tech stack maintenance and new system implementation
- Assist with overall HR strategy execution
- Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program
- A degree in HR, Psychology, Learning & Organizational Change, Business or a related field is preferred
- Five plus years of experience in L&D with proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development and facilitation
- Two plus years in professional services, experience at a blue-chip consultancy, private equity, investment banking or start up environment is preferred
- Located in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York or Philadelphia
- Invested in a team-based culture and motivated to collaborate in office four days per week
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decision-making
- High level of curiosity
- Ability to successfully work in a small, collaborative team environment
- Effectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formatting

$130,000 - $150,000 a year
The City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation information for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
