The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at Network Distribution is a pivotal senior leadership position responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives, generate Member value and drive sustainable growth. The CSO will develop and execute strategic sales plans, lead a high-performing team, and nurture customer, member distributor and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying new business opportunities, achieving revenue targets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The CSO will play a crucial role in shaping Network’s future success through strategic sales leadership, market insight, and fostering a diverse and inclusive sales culture.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with the Network’s short-term and long-term objectives.
- Create mutual value with and for our Member Distributors, including profitability and growth
- Create and implement a revenue and profitability growth incentive model that includes accountability for sales metrics on new business and retention.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, performance excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Navigate the complexities of engagement and coordination among constituents involved in managing accounts: internal Network team, member distributors, customers and suppliers.
- Implement innovative sales techniques and strategies based on industry trends and developments.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive sales team that reflects Network’s
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role.
- Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse sales team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using technology as an integral part of the sales process.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously.
- Effective active listening skills.
WHERE YOU’LL GO:
- Travel is required up to 50% of the time, with flexibility based on business needs and personal circumstances.
- This role is hybrid based out of our Schaumburg office
