As we emerge from our stealth mode and embark on expanding our presence in the United States to better serve the evolving needs of our global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) clientele, we are thrilled to be recruiting for this Vice President of Product opportunity in Chicago.
As Vice President of Product at LIFELENZ, you will shape the strategic vision of our cutting-edge AI optimized workforce management platform. You will have deep Product Management experience and proven mastery of mapping large opportunity spaces into tangible product outcomes/features which deliver differentiated product value to existing and new customers. You will guide the discovery process, shape the vision, provide direction to our Agile development group, and own the roadmap for LIFELENZ products. You will orchestrate the growth and empowerment of a dynamic team of product managers, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration to drive exceptional products, revenue expansion, competitive differentiation, and cementing our dominance as a trailblazing market force within QSR markets, and beyond.
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive the strategic direction of LIFELENZ products by deeply understanding the QSR market, aligning product development with our global customers needs.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO, to develop and execute a comprehensive, client driven product roadmap, ensuring consideration of business benefits and associated risks, customer requirements and market opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with LIFELENZ customers, and maintain a deep understanding of their needs, pain points and opportunities, translating these customer insights into actionable product improvements and new features.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including the LIFELENZ Global Account Director, CTO, VP Engineering, and VP Technology, to drive innovation within the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) and WFM (Workforce Management) markets.
- Lead and inspire a team of Product Managers and Designers, drive cross-functional teamwork and bridge the gap between technology and product visions and play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.
- Analyze market trends, emerging technologies, and leverage competitive intelligence, to continuously pioneer groundbreaking product innovations that align with market needs and trends, positioning the company as an industry leader.
- Ensure that product development remains forward-thinking and responsive to evolving market dynamics.
- Effectively present compelling product vision and effectively articulate the transformative impact of the product. Present clear, inspiring vision that outlines what the product aims to achieve in the long run and, articulated in a way which resonates with various stakeholders.
- Maintain deep QSR domain expertise, comprehending its distinctive operational intricacies, compliance mandates, and exacting customer anticipations. Channel this insight to wholeheartedly empathize with LIFELENZ users, pinpoint their pain-points, and drive solutions that authentically and comprehensively cater to their requirements.
- Manage feature usage tracking and measurement through monitoring how users are adopting different features of our products.
- Leverage data analytics tools to track user behaviour across our product suite and understand how users navigate, where they spend their time, and where they encounter issues. Use data to guide decisions for optimizing user experiences.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of LIFELENZ product features to ensure they are achieving desired outcomes and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about feature enhancements or changes.
Knowledge, Experience, [Competencies/Capabilities] Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years product management experience, within enterprise SaaS (preferably startup), consumer tech or other high-growth technology companies.
- Deep understanding of the unique challenges, trends, and competitive landscape within the QSR industry.
- Proven leadership, demonstrating a track record of leading and inspiring product management teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable product strategies.
- An ability to execute on strategic priorities, articulate a clear vision as well as strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take an active role in delivery.
- A customer-centric approach and possess commercial acumen and customer-oriented thinking to work effectively with clients, understanding and validating their requirements.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation skills and agility in objection handling, rejection, and managing ambiguity.
- Experience working with task management software (i.e., JIRA, Confluence), as well as change management / version control systems including Git, Apache SVN.
- Able to travel when necessary for product meetings, client presentations and internal engagements etc.
