Title: Chief Information Officer

Job Summary: This position is responsible for all operations of the Information Services Department and controls its overall direction through the management of personnel, equipment, facilities, resources of information systems, telecommunications, and office systems and processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluates project feasibility based on administrative requirements and priorities.
- Continually review ongoing operations performance including uptime, customer service and changes/modifications district-wide.
- Develops standards and procedures regarding use of information systems technology district-wide.
- Oversees development, implementation and integration plans for hardware, software and telecommunications.
- Foster strong professional relationships within college district, often leading discussions with outside vendors and organizations.
- Strategic planning, budgeting and acquisition, and maintenance of hardware, software and telecommunications.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.
Required Education: Master’s Degree in technology-related area. Technology Certifications required.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to build strong professional relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to develop and clearly communicate technology standards and procedures.
- Experience managing and supervising on multi-level teams.
- Knowledge pertaining to and experience managing on multi-platform environment.
- Experience directing operation and maintenance of local area and wide area networks.
- Experience directing operation of enterprise resource systems (ERP) and other software applications.
- Experience managing telecommunications and internet connectivity.
- Experience evaluating project feasibility, long and short range planning and budgeting.
- Ability to direct continual review of systems and methods and make recommendations for best practices, efficiency and cost savings.
- Experience developing and managing security protocols.
Required Experience: Five (5) years developing relationships communication, management of technologies, and management of processes.
Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education administration roles preferred.
