Position Objective:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, ensuring great customer experience and maximum profitability.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs; partners with the Store Manager to execute in-store business and sales strategies.
- Establishes clear expectations and holds the store team accountable for achieving brand standards.
- Controls payroll and supply budget.
- Oversees operational activities including scheduling, inventory audits, and merchandise flow processes.
- Ensures compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operational procedures.
- Ensures visual presentation and facility maintenance are representative of the Brand.
- Motivates the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
- Trains and coaches the selling team on product knowledge.
Building High Performing Teams:
- Motivates and inspires the store team, developing a shared vision.
- Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Communicates effectively with store teams and the Store Manager.
Customer Experience:
- Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles.
- Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.
- Ensures efficient register experiences and maintains consistent client communication.
Talent:
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.
- Supports and implements training programs.
- Drives associate and team engagement by recognizing outstanding performance.
Other duties as assigned. This position may be found in multiple brands; some duties may vary.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven customer service skills with a track record in sales and leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Regular attendance is essential; flexible work schedule required.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant Walking/Standing - 67-100% of 8-hour shift.
- Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs. - 1-33% of 8-hour shift.
- Frequent Climbing - 34%-66% of 8-hour shift.
