Job Description
As the Manager of Retail Execution of Technology, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Sales Force Retail tool including training, updating, and reporting. This will require a strong peer relationship and collaboration with multiple departments including IT, Sales, Marketing, Retail Solutions and Execution, and the EMEA Sales Force System Administrator.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer-packaged goods sales, Sales Force, and advanced report building skills. Strong experience working with all classes of customers, product segments, DSMP’s, sales structure hierarchy and the broker network. In addition, candidate must possess strong project management and cross team member communication skills and passion for driving accountability, follow up and sales growth.
The responsibilities of this position shall consist or, but not be limited to, the following:
- Develop and execute Jack Link’s annual strategic plan to grow our sales, market share, and overall leadership position in the category while successful execution of sales strategies and achieving AOP objectives.
- Collaborate and partner with IT and EMEA to build out, maintain, and update Sales Force Retail Tool.
- Produce actionable results from Sales Force for sales and category to maximize inline and secondary displays.
- Create automated scorecards, dashboards, and reporting on key company initiatives that tie back to sales leaders with actionable results.
- Develop, train, and build AI (in parallel with the company) to produce actionable data points to drive business decisions including share of shelf, must stock items, pricing, secondary display, and competitive environment.
- Plan and conduct weekly / monthly meetings with EMEA team member and IT.
- Plan and conduct continuous training with team members to maximize the Sales Force Retail Tool both face to face and virtually.
- Set up / maintain new users within company permissions and hierarchy.
- Data integration from multiple sources:
- Understand and utilize category data, SAP and other data sets to review business performance, identify business trends and opportunities with both internal and external data
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Understand and utilize P&Ls to drive financial performance, overall shelving mix including.
- Manage T & E and software budgets / licenses.
- Determine better ways of working with Sales Force as a larger entity to increase overall usage.
- Initially, visit retail 2-3 days a week, long term, visit retail 1 day a week, use the Sales Force Tool, and determine what changes need to be made.
- Work with Sr. Manager to develop 2–4-year strategy on the future of Sales Force.
- Provide business updates to Senior Leadership on sales results/opportunities.
- Create networking groups within Sales Force community to expand knowledge base (outside of Jack Link’s).
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of consumer-packaged goods analytics and report building with all classes of customers and DSMP’s.
- 4+ years of using Sales Force from an internal and external lens.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities by being proactive and results driven.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally 1 day per week.
- Proven thorough understanding of the consumer products industry in all classes of trade.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and team members.
- Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
- Proficient in Sales Force, Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Outlook.
