Position Summary
As Director Finance Project Management & Tax, in the US regional operations of Jet Aviation, you will be responsible for leading a number of strategic and project-oriented initiatives. You will also function as the primary liaison on tax related matters between the US Lines Of Business and the General Dynamics tax department. This is a hybrid role, working at least three times weekly from the office, based out of our Teterboro, NJ location at the Teterboro airpark. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range will be as follows: $125,000 - $155,000.

- Must be able to pass a ten-year background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance. CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of corporate accounting and/or finance experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective follow-up on assigned tasks. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Excel to create and maintain various schedules/reports. Must have experience in Microsoft Office, and Word to produce emails and professional letters.
- Operational knowledge of Outlook is required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide strategic support to US region by working with Finance VP, LOB VPs, and US SVP to evaluate business growth/expansion opportunities.
- Preparation of business cases in support of future business initiatives in the US region
- Lead and support global and regional projects impacting finance department
- Organize meetings with stakeholders and prepare regular project summaries/updates
- Work closely with Group Finance to document and maintain accounting policies & procedures and participate in development of future changes.
- Manage implementation of accounting standards with team members in US region
- Prepare white papers as needed to address complex accounting questions
- Participate in review of new and amended leases to apply proper accounting treatment
- Work with GD Tax department to implement tax policy and procedures in US region
- Prepare tax reporting to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes
- Oversee the preparation of various tax roll-forward schedules
- Work with GD tax to prepare quarterly tax forecasts and annual cash tax budget
- Support all US region business units with entity specific tax & compliance inquiries
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.
