Overview
SSOE is seeking an architectural business leader to continue the growth of the firm in the Midwest and in the greater Columbus, OH market. The opportunity is part of a continued strategic investment that SSOE is making to strengthen and grow the architecturally based design practice. This position will be part of the practice-level leadership team and will be given the resources needed to expand our client base in higher education, K-12, healthcare, governmental, and general commercial markets. Business development, client management, and overall team vision/leadership are necessary qualities.

In addition to industry leading salary compensation, this position will be eligible for a generous bonus package and profit sharing and includes the opportunity to purchase shares in the company- shares that have significantly outperformed both the S&P and Dow averages.
Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service to our clients while leading a team of architects, engineers, and interior designers within a collaborative environment.
- This role is pivotal for driving the strategic growth of our Midwest architectural practice. The ideal candidate will possess established client relationships and a track record of cultivating new connections at local and regional levels.
- Strong leadership, organizational, technical, written, and verbal communication skills. An experienced, highly motivated, self-directed professional with a hands-on attitude and the ability to work with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
- Interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating large architectural lead design assignments with overall responsibility for all aspects of the overall program and specific projects. Leads client meetings and facilitates decisions to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate overall programs and specific projects.
- Travel required.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture with registration as a licensed architect required plus twelve (12) or more years of related practical experience.
- Strong background in the design and development of educational, healthcare, and/or governmental facilities.
- Flexibility to work with a variety of project types on multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.
- Basic familiarity with Revit and CADD design software.
What We Bring:
- Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
- In addition to our competitive and market-driven data compensation ranges, this role includes eligibility for our annual, target bonus/incentive program. Our target bonus program is based on company and individual performance and goals.
