Job Description
The Territory Sales Manager – Power & Industrial / Oil & Gas works with specifiers, distributors, contractors, OEM’s and EPC’s to develop project sales and technical specifications. The incumbent also assists in major project development by answering detail and technical questions before and during a project. The TSM is also responsible for attending regional and local trade shows. This role requires active involvement with professional industry organizations and provides technical training to specifiers, owners, contractors and OEM’s.
This role will have responsibility for the west coast and is ideally located in Southern California.
Travel requirement is approximately 75%. Business is primarily conducted at stakeholder offices/facilities and project sites.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 plus sales incentive.
Qualifications
Our desired candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of the construction process from inception to completion with a robust knowledge of how construction products are sold into the industry.
Education
- Bachelors degree preferred
Experience
- 3 years in the construction industry is preferred
- Proven track record in Sales/Business Development within the construction industry
- Experience in consultative selling is a plus
- Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Salesforce
- Experience in using online/electronic databases to generate leads is an asset.
