As the Director of Global Demand Planning at Krispy Kreme, you will be instrumental in ensuring the right doughnut is available at the right place, and right time, worldwide. Using your experience in forecasting and business analytics you will use data to test hypotheses and develop strategic actions to optimize returns and maximize sales and profit across all channels and partners. Your leadership will have a global reach, impacting the success and growth of Krispy Kreme's operations in the countries in which we operate.
A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Strategy
- Develop market-specific strategies to optimize sales and profit conversion through demand planning.
- Test and learn approach to initiatives formulating hypotheses then proving them out using data analytics before scaling.
- Implement strategies with local markets through consultation, training, and review processes.
Analytics
- Maintain a central demand planning database for all markets ensuring data is accurate and can be used to test hypotheses.
- Robust analytical approach to the test and learn initiatives.
- Lead the development of PowerBI reporting & analytics tools for the segmentation and profiling of doors.
- Identify opportunities through data analysis to drive sales, profit and optimize returns.
- Present actionable insights to key stakeholders and recommend next steps.
Forecasting
- Collaborate with the Local Market Demand Planning Teams to ensure accurate demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to incorporate local insights into market influences and gain wider business agreement on forecasts.
New Markets
- Establish proper processes and approach with stakeholders to ensure opening forecasts align with sales and budget expectations.
- Using best practices, create a demand planning playbook that new markets can use as a guide to optimize availability and returns.
- Make recommendations on how to hire and train demand planners setting an organizational framework for proper demand planning resource allocation.
Reporting
- Generate and share a detailed monthly report on Demand Planning KPIs for each market.
- Publish a monthly global demand planning high level dashboard showing progress against targets for each market.
- Fulfil data requests from key stakeholders.
Training
- Develop training materials for stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Provide coaching and support for executing demand planning strategies.
- Serve as a point of contact for software platform training
Software Platform Development & Implementation
- Identify opportunities for software platform improvements and develop appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to integrate demand planning data and solutions.
- Implement software platforms in allowable markets, ensuring integration with current systems.
Stakeholder Relations
- Attend meetings with key stakeholders to provide updates and receive feedback on demand planning's impact on business plans.
- Work cross functionally across the business and gain buy in to initiatives and new ways of thinking.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
- 10+ years of experience
- Strong analytical and data mining skills. Preferably from a data science, statistical or market intelligence background.
- Experience in forecasting, preferably in an FMCG background.
- Advanced data modelling and analytics: using tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
- Commitment to data quality and business process.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with multiple business stakeholders.
- Ability to work at a fast pace without compromising on quality of output.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to create and follow data briefs.
- Understanding of commercial and operational impacts on demand planning.
- Ability to deliver complex information in a simplified manner.
- Inquisitive; willing to challenge and to understand the 'why'.
