JOB TITLE: Performance Analyst
LOCATION: Houston, TX
POSITION REPORTS TO: Manager of Efficiency and Performance
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience
SCHEDULE: Full-Time
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, modify, maintain, and distribute reports as assigned by manager
- Assist with data collection, manipulation, and validation of various reports
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing daily driver performance reports
- Develop a strong understanding of the source systems that pass data to the reporting systems, the relationships within the data and how the data is used. Use this knowledge to identify errors, correct the data, and provide analysis of findings
- Identify and propose process and productivity improvements as needed
- Identify, share, and track trends related to driver efficiency
- Gather relevant information for effective analysis and presentation
- Work closely with Operations Managers companywide to communicate and advise on performance data findings
- Brief manager on daily issues
- Attend and possibly lead team meetings to discuss important topics related to performance
- Participate in various job duties/responsibilities and special projects as directed
- Maintain honest and ethical conduct, including the ethical handling of data
- Other related tasks as assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be local, willingness to work in the office (live within 60 miles)
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to analyze and make decisions based on data and explain and support reasoning for decision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple demands
- Ability to prepare and present presentations to management team
- Promote and support company's goals and values
- Respectful and considerate of others, regardless of their status or position within the organization
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including knowledge in formulas, pivot tables, and lookups
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and challenge assumptions
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to extract, consolidate, and organize data from several different sources accurately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED:
- Experience in the fuel transportation industry
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
- Familiarity with Samsara or similar fleet management software
- Proficiency in data analysis and report generation
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Prior experience in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science
