Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Senior Product Manager to join our Product Management team, working squarely on the intersection of business, technology, and our users’ experience. In this role, you are responsible for setting the vision and strategy for integrating payment capabilities across the Applied portfolio and owning the roadmap and execution of the developed plans. As Senior Product Manager, Payment Integrations, you’ll work with a range of stakeholders, including other product teams, and technology teams as well as get a strong understanding of the insurance market and our customer’s needs. This role will require someone who possesses a good blend of business savvy, user empathy, and an ability to collaborate closely with tech. You will be responsible to lead decisions on how we integrate our new payments capabilities with our core and extended solutions to create an exceptional user experience and help support our business goals.
What You Will Do
- Help develop and deliver the roadmaps for integrated payment solutions with a focus on carrier payments reconciliation
- Identify new opportunities through user and customer interviews, market research, requirements workshops, and workflow analysis
- Share and discuss business cases with Product leadership and Product teams across Applied to gain agreement on product direction
- Provide documented problem statements, scope, goals, and KPIs to drive projects
- Work closely with Design and Development to explore and detail solutions and user experiences
- Lead prioritization to balance new features, feature maturity, customer requests, and quality
- Ensure field teams and customers are prepared for new launches with training, materials, and messaging
- Monitor and drive product activation of launched products and features
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can work hybrid; from an Applied Systems office Salt Lake City
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Your experience should include some or all the following:
- 7+ years of Software product Management experience
- 5+ years of experience delivering highly successful and innovative software products
- Proven success in taking products and ideas from inception to maturity
- Good understanding of payments and payments reconciliation processes; some background and interest in accounting
- Experience delivering best-in-class SaaS products
- Success with B2B products
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas Computer science, Engineering or Business
Additionally, you may have:
- Financial background in Accounting or Tax
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience with Jira or similar tools
- Insurance industry exposure
