Job Description
General Summary:
The Supply Chain Senior Manager will join the fast-growing supply chain team and report to the Associate Director of Supply Planning. The position will support multiple clinical and device manufacturing sites, programs, and teams. This role will act as the point of contact for developing and managing multiple detailed material supply plans and inventories in both process development and manufacturing environments. This role is responsible to ensure inventory strategies and buy plans are agreed upon, timely and accurate, limiting changes and avoiding material stock out. The role requires the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously, balancing priorities, ability to work with ambiguity, and attention to details.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee material planning activities including monthly development of supply, buy and inventory plans with supply planning team.
- Ensure material availability at all times for all critical materials used in production for multiple locations.
- Lead routine meetings to ensure clarity across all end users for inventory volumes and material availability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure aligned on material changes and inventory strategies.
- Lead weekly meetings with cross functional team members for material risks.
- Ensure clear communication and process for the material planning process aligning across multiple stakeholder departments including procurement, strategic sourcing etc.
- Develop schedule parameters to understand long and short term capacity constraints and mitigate against any impacts.
- Ensure standard supply chain practices are followed including reduction of expired and excess inventory.
- Responsible for ensuring bill of materials is updated and accurate at all times.
- Ensuring all site critical materials are within inventory levels at all time.
- Support with the writing and revision of supply chain related Standard operations procedures (SOPs).
- Perform tasks in a manner consistent with the safety policies, quality systems, and GMP requirements.
- Manage a team of planners across multiple sites.
- Ability to influence others and work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Work experience in a supply chain/ planning.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipate challenges.
- Experience managing complex schedules and priorities in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work, influence, and gain consensus across multiple functions (Manufacturing, Quality and Clinicals).
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Expertise in use of MS Excel, as well as demonstrated proficiencies in Project, Visio, ERP systems and other applications.
- Good documentation practices.
- Experience with people management.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, builds trust easily and operates with integrity and ethics.
- Experience working in a cGMP environment.
- Experience implementing or working in an ERP or scheduling tool.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 6+ years of related work experience.
