Nutanix is seeking a Sales Director in Japan, reporting to the Japan Managing Director (MD). As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and empowering a motivated team of Account Managers (AM) to win across some Enterprise and Commercial verticals. "NOW is the time" to approach enter Customers who think of Nutanix as a key solution provider. In close partnership with internal resources as well as partner ecosystems such as Cisco, RedHat, etc. as well as System Integrators in Japan. This role requires "Out-of-Box" thinking to speed up our Revenue Growth in the Japan Enterprise Market. You will be expected to lead transformation to build the business.

Nutanix’s organization in Japan is chartered with the growth and adoption of Nutanix’s multi-product solutions and with incubating field capabilities for emerging technology assets. Responsibilities
- Lead transformation to create a best-in-class Sales Organization.
- Establish and demonstrate strong execution of the sales strategy for the team, through tools and best practices, to achieve and deliver a highly predictable forecast, strong growth (30% YoY), and pipeline generation goals.
- Deliver and drive value-adding conversations with customers through a strong appreciation of their needs and how our technology and solutions can support them effectively and efficiently (including economic calculation).
- Leverage personal networks, go-to-market initiatives, existing customers, and referrals to open doors to new business opportunities for the team.
- Build and strengthen our business relationships with current customer accounts through customer QBR and new prospects, including new logos.
- Ensure rigor in our sales process cadence, including driving regular reviews on account plans, KPIs, pipeline creation & quality, opportunity reviews, and forecasting.
- Foster a positive work environment and collaborative high-performing culture.
- Develop and retain our talents through regular engagement and coaching. Leverage and share one’s experience with the team on target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques (experience with MEDDPIC and Pipeline management highly appreciated).
- Facilitate regular reviews on competition and coach the team on our differentiating value propositions.
- Represent Nutanix externally and be the persuasive force in the market, inspiring potential customers and partners through our compelling vision.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Customer Support, Professional Service, and Pre-sales to achieve success.

You will bring exceptional subscription-based sales experience, be a hands-on leader, have successful Go-To-Market (GTM) planning and strategic execution expertise, have excellent communication and analytical skills, possess industry and market knowledge, and have a collaborative influencer approach to work with internal and external stakeholders to capture the immense market opportunities in Japan. Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years of Sales Leadership experience for Enterprise Account Sales teams with significant software/IT direct sales background.
- Proven track record in business transformation and change management.
- Experience managing P&L as Division Leader or in a small-sized IT company is a plus.
- Sales coaching experience for team members.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated proficiency in managing C-suite stakeholders and external media.
- Good network with C-suite leaders within the market segment.
- Broad knowledge of market trends and competition.
- Solution sales and value-add oriented, with an aptitude for technology and an understanding of how our products and solutions address continually expanding business needs.
- Strong team player with a holistic mindset for situational resolutions.
- A native level of Japanese and business level of English communication skills are required.
- Strong ambition to grow the team and business.
- A proven and consecutive track record of success in exceeding assigned sales quotas.
