A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. The College of Dentistry is looking for a Dentist to join the Clinical Affairs team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. What you need to know
Special Note: This position’s availability is set to 12 months from the date of hire. Employment in this position is not guaranteed beyond 12 months.
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.
Work Schedule/Location: This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Required Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Dentistry (DD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six years of related experience in a dental practice setting.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid/Active Dental License in Texas, BLS/CPR, nitrous oxide, sedation.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of skills associated with the practice of general dentistry.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern dentistry as related to community health programs.
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems.
- Previous experience in private practice, community health or outreach clinic setting.
- Knowledge of CADCAM Scanning Systems.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
- Clinical Dental Procedures: Practices state-of-the-art prevention and treatment methods. Delivers direct comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, general dental care to clinic patients including, but not limited to, diagnosis, consultation/referral, emergency, preventive, restorative/operative, endodontic, fixed and removable prosthetics, periodontal, and oral surgery procedures appropriate in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, injuries, malformations of the teeth and gums and related oral structures. Responsible for maintaining accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records. Adheres to HIPAA policies and ensures patient confidentiality. Complies with recommended and mandated health provider regulations and guidelines. Adheres to established clinic practices and protocols. Executes proper infection control techniques and practices. Responsible for maintaining unlimited full state licensure, in good standing, and compliance with licensure and registration requirements of other professional organizations (DEA, NPI, etc.). Participates in appropriate continuing dental education; shares and implements learned information to benefit the clinic and patient care.
- Leadership & Representative: Attend meetings and activities to promote effective clinic and institutional operation and organization. Represents the highest standards of the dental profession, sets the example for others, and manifests professional, leadership, and caregiver characteristics and integrity. Supports and promotes Texas A&M University College of Dentistry’s values, image, and standing in the community. Works in accordance with the vision and mission of the Dr. M.C. Cooper Clinic and the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Performs other duties as assigned.
