The Director, MX Business Analytics will be a significant contributor to the success of the Strategic Consulting, Health Plan team through development of client-facing analytics and insights, facilitation of consulting engagements and supporting client implementation of data management best practices. The Director will be responsible for engaging with clients to share data and information necessary to develop insights as well as provide results in a client-approved format. The Director will be expected to conduct data analysis using Press Ganey tools and available data sources to develop and communicate insights and recommendations during client meetings. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with Engagement Executives, Strategic Consultants and other internal Press Ganey teams as directed by the Engagement Manager.
The Director works within the Strategic Consulting, Health Plan team and across Technology, Data Science and Product Development business units to support day-to-day needs of the Strategic Consulting, Health Plan and their clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists the Engagement Manager with development of engagement client-facing materials, insights, communications and deliverables.
- Works with project managers, applications managers, applications specialists, and subject matter experts to conduct analysis, validate, and prepare insights and other client-facing engagement materials.
- Conducts engagement-specific and cross-application data analytics and derives insights and recommendations.
- Develops and implements appropriate success criteria and measures for each engagement.
- Coordinates the appropriate level of communication and insights by client business units and end-users.
- Develops plans to assure the utilization of Press Ganey application and data sources as appropriate per engagement.
- Collaborates with Strategic Consultants and other engagement facilitators on utilization of Press Ganey and client data.
- Manages and completes all project tasks and requirements within timelines as assigned by the Engagement Manager or the Client.
- In collaboration with Strategic Consulting leadership, engages with a client in business development and strategic planning discussions for the purpose of scoping engagement based on client needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in data/business analytics within a healthcare setting. Experience working with health plans/payers a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare consulting or similar client-facing role.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated data analytic skills such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, Databricks, etc.
- Proven track record of successful data analytics coordination and insights development, including ability to create data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Strong software skills including all advanced skills in MS Office, Access and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and project/time management skills.
- Flexible during times of change and reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Self-starting, motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, medical informatics, healthcare administration, or related field and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Advanced degree in data analytics or medical informatics is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience is acceptable.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $101,000 - $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
