As we continue to grow and strengthen our position in the market, we are seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts, optimize partner relationships, and drive significant revenue growth.
The Sales Director will be a strategic and visionary leader responsible for overseeing and expanding our sales operations within the partner ecosystem. This role requires a deep understanding of finance technology solutions, including FP&A platforms from top technology vendors, and the ability to manage and leverage partner relationships to drive sales success. The VP of Sales will develop and implement effective sales strategies, build and lead a high-performing sales team, and contribute to the overall growth and direction of the company as part of our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and increase market share for our finance and FP&A solutions.
- Collaborate with technology vendors to align sales strategies with their offerings and leverage their resources for mutual benefit.
- Partner Ecosystem Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors and other partners within the ecosystem.
- Work closely with partners to co-develop joint sales initiatives, promotional activities, and value propositions that drive mutual success.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the sales organization.
- Client Acquisition:
- Drive the acquisition of new clients.
- Oversee the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Market & Industry Insights:
- Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and improve our offerings.
- Provide actionable insights to marketing and services teams based on field experience and client feedback.
- Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Optimize sales processes, tools, and CRM systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide regular reports to the executive team on sales performance, pipeline status, and strategic initiatives.
- Strategic Growth Initiatives:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the partner ecosystem to drive growth and expand market reach.
- Develop and implement strategies to enter new markets or verticals, leveraging partner relationships and industry knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a strong background in finance technology and/or FP&A solutions.
- Proven track record of managing sales teams and achieving revenue targets, particularly within a partner-driven environment.
- Deep understanding of finance technology solutions, including FP&A platforms from leading vendors, and the dynamics of working within a partner ecosystem.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain strategic relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, drive strategic decisions, and optimize sales performance.
- Proficiency with sales CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and performance management techniques.
