Role Summary:
The VP – Operational Risk Monitoring Programs will manage oversight and execution of the Operational Key Risk Indicator program as well as the continued development and implementation of the Risk Appetite program. Both programs are key components of the firm’s Operational Risk Framework.
The role will report to the Managing Director, Capital Planning, Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis. The role sits within the Operational Risk Foundational Programs team. This team is part of the second line of defense within Enterprise Risk Management.
What you will be responsible for:
- Oversee design, management and ongoing development of the Key Risk Indicator and Risk Appetite programs, including program standards and training as required.
- Oversee the technology supporting the Key Risk Indicator and Risk Appetite programs, including managing the programs’ monthly data cycles, and testing and approving implementation of business requirements.
- Use Key Risk Indicator and Risk Appetite data to monitor the level of underlying risk and to support risk management decisions.
- Review and escalate Key Risk Indicator and Risk Appetite threshold breaches to the Operational Risk and Controls Committee in line with escalation protocols.
- Exercise oversight over the first line of defense implementation of the Key Risk Indicator and Risk Appetite programs, including testing for compliance with escalation protocols.
- Prepare and present reports to risk governance committees and other risk management forums.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- Equivalent to a university degree in finance, business, accounting or related field; advanced degrees and professional certifications valued.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in financial services; operational risk / Finance focus preferred.
Salary Range:
$100,000 - $167,500 Annual
