We’re seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our growing organization. As CFO, you will play a key role in shaping our financial future, ensuring sustainability, and driving growth. Position Overview: As the CFO, you will be responsible for the financial health of First Alliance Credit Union. Your leadership will guide our financial strategy, investments, risk management, and compliance efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and our dedicated team to ensure sound financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and execution of the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the credit union’s mission and goals.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Manage investments and asset-liability to optimize profitability and mitigate risk.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain strong relationships with auditors, regulators, and other financial partners.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate new opportunities for growth to drive long-term success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the credit union or banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing risk.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning with day-to-day financial operations.
