RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS), a business unit of RTI International, is an independent and internationally recognized research organization. We provide scientifically rigorous research and consulting services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics companies. Our research and consulting services focus on gathering evidence, analyzing results, increasing understanding, and providing greater clarity to help reveal the benefits, risks, value, and potential of our client's products. Our various practice areas include Market Access and Outcomes Strategy, Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment, Health Economics, Pharmacoepidemiology, Biostatistics, Surveys and Observational Studies, and Health Preference Assessment.
The Global Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management team, within RTI-HS is currently based in the US (NC, MA), and Spain (Barcelona). We are active members of the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP) and the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE).

Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional individual with the senior expertise and experience to positively impact our research which focuses on the strategy, design and implementation of pharmacoepidemiologic and other regulatory grade real world evidence research and consultation. You will contribute to business development activities to bring new project opportunities with new and existing clients, strategic early planning of projects and lead teams responsible for their implementation and dissemination and participate in regulatory meetings as required. You will also provide strategic consultation to pharmaceutical companies on pharmacoepidemiology and other regulatory grade RWE topics. This individual will also serve as a mentor to other colleagues and contribute to the leadership of the epidemiology practice area through internal management groups.
The position is based in the Waltham, MA, combining onsite with work from home.
Qualifications
- PhD in Epidemiology or equivalent. Life sciences background highly valued.
- Over 20 years of experience in the field of pharmacoepidemiology, risk management and other regulatory grade RWE research and consultation, including roles in regulatory meetings.
- Excellent understanding of good pharmacoepidemiology/RWE practice and regulations, and international research networks in pharmacoepidemiology/RWE
- Publications in peer reviewed journals
- Leadership roles in ISPE or equivalent professional societies, working groups and networks.
- Demonstrated effective communications (written, verbal and presentation skills) in a cross functional collaborative environment. The working language is English. Additional languages will be highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with research and operations staff, research partners and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work and lead in large matrix multidisciplinary multisector teams in multiple locations, and under tight timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects including document writing, budget planning and proposal and project communications and to assist other project leads in these activities when needed.

Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States. RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element to our offer.
