We are seeking an experienced VP of Operations to lead MonteVista Homes construction operations and support the company's values, mission, and vision. You will participate in the strategic planning and to be an integral member of the executive leadership team and foster the company's culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain key relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals.
- Act as a liaison between the construction team and clients, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction.
- Develop partnerships and alliances within the construction industry to enhance our network and market presence.
- Oversee the review of project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain pricing and subcontractor bids.
- Ensure that estimates are in alignment with project scope, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Continuously analyze and improve estimating processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the contracting process, including negotiations, contract development, and execution.
- Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals are obtained before project commencement.
- Work closely with project managers to facilitate a seamless transition from pre construction to project execution.
- Oversee the development of project budgets and schedules to align with company objectives.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of construction professionals, including project managers, site supervisors, and support staff.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and address issues in conjunction with operations manager.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts related to the construction division's performance.
- Ensures compliance with all company rules, policies, and agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in construction management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent sales and business development skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with architects, clients, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools. (Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite).
- Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Compensation:
- Full-Time Position
- $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
