Job Description: Bend Swim Club, Head Age Group Coach

Position Details: The position can be fulltime, pending candidates’ experience, qualifications, and desire. The coach will lead our Advanced Age Group Position and Dryland Program or take on Administrative Duties as well as potentially work with another Age Group training group as needed. The coach will be involved in all aspects of team development and management. A typical week will include approximately 20 hours of on-deck coaching and 15+ hours of administrative duties or Dryland Development Duties.
Qualifications:
- Coaching and/or competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.
- Current USA Swimming coach certifications.
- Loves coaching. Passion for developing swimmers of all ages.
- Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Expertise with current technique development and training.
- Enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly motivated team player.
Job Requirements:
- College Degree (Preferred).
- Coaching and work experience including teaching technique and the development of life-long swimming skills. Must be comfortable with younger swimmers. Teaching and educational experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills working with parents, swimmers, and coaches; a team-first approach is important.
- Possess USA Swimming certifications and credentials commensurate with the position and pass background check. Abides by applicable USA Swimming Codes of Conduct and Safe Sport Requirements and pass a reference check.
Preferred Skills:
- Computer proficiency including the use of e-mail, Internet Navigation, Google Suite, Microsoft Office and Publisher Software, Hy-Tek, Team Unify, and Social Media Platforms.
- Dryland experience and understanding of dryland progressions from the age group to senior level with the ability to teach, design programs, and train swimmers.
