This is a full-time position with a salary and benefits commensurate with experience. The office is currently operating predominantly in-office, with hybrid options available for senior staff or by arrangement based on experience or personal circumstances. Applicants must have proper documentation for employment in the US.
Qualifications/Abilities/Attributes/Experience:
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have a professional degree and 5-9 years of architectural office experience, or have completed an equivalent path to expertise. An interest and commitment to environmental sustainability and building performance is required. Having or interest in pursuing LEED, LFA, WELL, or CPHC credentials is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software. Advanced experience in Revit with knowledge to support BIM/library standard development is desired.
- Experience setting up, managing, and coordinating drawing sets, both internally and with engineers/consultants through all phases of design and construction is required.
- Ability to direct and coordinate multiple projects and teams at various phases of design and construction, including the ability to manage and meet deadlines and coordinate documents from design through construction.
- Familiarity with building codes, specifications, and building and engineering systems.
Abilities:
- High-quality design and presentation skills for 3D modeling, rendering, drafting, and computer graphics in support of a design team.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team, take initiative, and a desire to expand abilities and technical skills is important. Able to perform as a team leader, incorporating, training, and overseeing colleagues effectively.
- Good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills – verbal, written, and graphic.

Experience:
- Equivalent relevant construction-related experience is seen as a plus.
- Teams are small, with diverse project types. Experience and breadth of knowledge in all components of project design, technical, building performance, construction administration, community, and approvals is desired.
- Revit use in a team leadership position on appropriate building types in a professional setting is required.
- Ability to coordinate, manage, and job captain a set of drawings through all phases is required.
- Ability to provide leadership and research in upgrading library, standards, and BIM modeling on an office-wide level is desired.
