Summary:
In this role, you will lead and manage a team of Spend Managers overseeing and guiding their activities within a specific territory. You will drive action and optimize the national and/or commit group purchasing organization (GPO) by implementing category and core tenet strategies in line with the Spend Management Delivery team and provider work plan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a high performing team of Spend Managers aligned with solving provider challenges.
- Collaborate with Spend Executives and other organization executives to ensure Spend Managers are delivering support in alignment with the provider workplan and ensuring high provider satisfaction.
- Ensure Spend Managers are successfully implementing Vizient's strategic programs (e.g., Impact Standardization, Novaplus).
- Ensure Spend Managers are leveraging Vizient tools, systems, and resources to maximize member value.
- Coach team on Quarterly Business Review (QBR) contributions; ensure understanding to articulate quarterly historical performance of workplan and future state recommendations on category initiatives.
- Conduct skills practice with Spend Managers to facilitate key discussion topics with providers.
- Participate in performance improvement (PI) initiatives to identify waste and define leading practices.
- Bring forward ideas for improvements related to standard work and automation to Spend Management Delivery executives.
- Oversee the direction and implementation of standard work across Spend Managers.
- Provide key contributions to training curriculum for Spend Managers.
- Be accountable for the team performance, budget, and financial results.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of relevant performance improvement, operations or healthcare related experience required.
- Experience presenting to and working with senior management.
- Excellent project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and independently.
- Ability to build strong teams, lead and motivate others.
- Ability to coach, grow and support others through leadership and collaborative partnership skills.
- Candidate must reside in the Central region of the US.
- Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $223,200.00. This position is also incentive eligible.
