We are investing heavily to create a system to support the right experience at the right time and one that is scalable to the level of growth we expect. We need a strong Principle UX Designer to contribute to design to get us there, is this you? The Sr UX Designer in the R&D group will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional members of the development teams to ensure a world-class product design for our products Mobile App Suite. They will lead, plan and execute on strategic and tactical design initiatives for Android and iOS. We are looking to hire a critical member of the team to be the Sr UX designer to lead large scale design initiatives for the core product applications. The goal for this role is drive best in class UX, and act as senior individual contributor, working collaboratively with the software development, technical product management, systems team and a in an agile environment. We’re looking for someone who wants to use design to change the face of diabetes; someone who can innovate and translate a high-level vision into compelling digital experiences. Sr UX Designer Responsibilities:- Lead tactical and innovation UX initiatives within an agile environment on mobile applications-Android and iOS.
- Defining safe, effective and delightful user experiences for mobile experiences using industry standard tools.
- Work in a fast-paced agile development team using collaboration tools.
- Lead UX discussions with key technical integration partners.
- Work with User Research and Human Factors team to iteratively test early concepts.
- Present design concepts and user experience vision to all levels of the company.
- Collaborate heavily with Clinical and Human Factors to ensure our designs meet guidelines.
- Drive innovation initiatives related to UX process, tools or design language.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams to help define world class user experiences.
- Lead corporate UX design language development, standards and frameworks.
- Mentor junior staff in all aspects of UX work.
- Evangelize the role of UX design across the company.

Qualifications:- Bachelors degree or Master’s in relevant fields required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in UX and product design.
- Expert knowledge in industry standard UX/Dev tools.
- Fluent in usability standards and design heuristics.
- Expert knowledge of Android and iOS UI guidelines.
- Strong portfolio required with storytelling skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in an agile development environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally.
- Strong technical hardware and software knowledge a plus.
- Experience in execution of mobile applications UX.
- Working knowledge of User Research tools and methodologies.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Ability to prototype when necessary preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the diabetes disease state preferred.
Physical Requirements:- Ongoing US travel as needed (at least once per quarter).
