Our Mergers and Acquisitions team helps our clients assess tax obligations related to acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, joint ventures, and initial public offerings. You’ll focus on managing acquisition and merger risk, structuring acquisitions to optimise net cash flows, carrying out pre-acquisition or pre sale due diligence, and ensuring that tax compliance requirements are met throughout the deal.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:Demonstrates proven considerable knowledge of M&A practices as it pertains to a global network of professional services consulting firms and its clients, emphasizing the following areas:
- Corporate M&A, private equity, post deal integration, bankruptcy and corporate insolvency; and,
- Tax consulting services, transaction structuring for tax issues, restructuring, due diligence, strategy formulation, financial modeling and tax planning.
Demonstrates considerable technical skills and M&A practices as it pertains to a global network of professional services consulting firms and its clients, emphasizing the following areas:
- Applying and interpreting U.S. federal income tax law as it relates to Sub-Chapter C corporations, Sub-Chapter S corporations, partnerships, consolidated groups, corporate bankruptcies and insolvencies, tax efficient structuring and use of debt, the reorganization provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, technical writing and reviewing of opinion letters and memoranda and tax due diligence exercises;
- Identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings;
- Communicating a broad range of Firm services;
- Managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues;
- Leading teams through creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members;
- Providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and,
- Keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

The salary range for this position is: $83,000 - $208,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
