ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Software Engineering to lead and grow our engineering team focused on our Trading Execution Management System. This individual will be responsible for driving the technical vision, architecture, and development of our trading platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Set clear goals and help the team prioritize tasks.
- Technical Vision and Strategy:
- Develop and implement the technical strategy and roadmap for the Trading Execution Management System.
- Ensure the system architecture is scalable, efficient, and robust.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in the trading domain.
- Development and Delivery:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and deployment of new features and system updates.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, QA, and Operations.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the trading system meets stringent uptime and performance requirements.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues proactively.
- Conduct post-mortem analyses for any incidents and implement corrective actions.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required (or equivalent prior experience).
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience with trading systems, financial services, or a closely related industry.
- Strong background in designing and building high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Experience with FIX protocol, market data feeds, and order management systems.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in financial trading.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range
$151,000-$188,750
The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
