Global Markets, Vice President / Associate, Software Developer, Position Engineering, NYC
As part of our global team, we are seeking a hands-on technical lead and senior software engineer, who can drive projects which will engineer our position management and valuations platform. You will use your engineering and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions which apply cutting-edge technologies and design principles to address challenging business and technical problems.
You will help to expand the team’s technical capabilities and will be a champion for the adoption of strategic platforms. This is a great opportunity to get involved at the early stages, and work with teams across the organization to help define and deliver this future state architecture.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate is required to provide technical leadership in driving key projects on position engineering, as well as supporting the day-to-day business.
- Provides mentorship over a team of more junior developers.
- Proactively engages with stakeholders through the SDLC of the projects.
- Works with global teams on projects that will have global impact.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional Java and SQL Development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
- Familiarity with automated testing, DevOps and Continuous Deployment.
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in SQL query optimizations.
- Experience in modern message oriented middleware e.g. Kafka.
- Experience in data modeling.

Salary Range:
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
