THE ROLE:
The Sr. Manager of M&A Integration role provides a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of AMD through leadership on M&A transactions. You will engage cross-functionally, influencing and driving thoughtful integration thesis development, planning, and execution. Although we have been acquisitive, infusing new practices and approaches through strategic thought leadership - is both welcomed and expected from this role.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate would be comfortable with and excited by the challenges and ambiguity inherent to M&A; he/she would be a team leader, able to build solid, respectful, collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the company. Must be able to dive deeply and problem solve at a tactical level, while at the same time thinking strategically and working programmatically towards the greater deal outcomes and deal-over-deal improvements to our M&A processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is strong attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and follow-through.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development of integration strategy, planning, and execution from business case development to execution and post-closing value capture, working closely with M&A deal leads; 'own' specific deals/acquisition integration projects from the early pre-signing phase through integration exit and handoff to the business.
- Drive day-to-day execution of the integration process and progress, including leading cross-functional teams, managing weekly integration meetings, and proactively driving issue resolution in alignment with key partners.
- Present summary integration plans and report progress and key metrics to senior management.
- Conduct post-mortems on deal and integration execution; continually strive to better existing practices.
- Develop and communicate current and future integration process standards, best practices, and guidelines across transactions; support the buildout of repeatable processes and tools for M&A integration.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated expertise and success in executing and leading M&A integration efforts in a senior Corporate Development Integration/IMO role or as a top-tier M&A integration consultant.
- Knowledge of M&A best practices and processes, including pre-deal due diligence, integration planning and execution, synergy and cost savings analysis, etc.
- Cross-functional competency: experience working directly with (or as part of) other corporate functions over the course of your career – e.g. Product Marketing, HR, Finance, IT.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- MBA preferred.
- Bachelors a must, Masters a plus.

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
