GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for managing and executing regional strategies and tactics to support the global ambition for Varilux, Crizal, Eyezen, and Transitions. These should deliver on growth expectations aligned with the individual channels of trade (iECP, National Accounts, Distributors, Managed Care) to create value and ensure global objectives are met. Leads a team to deliver key priorities including development, implementation and maintenance of tactics, tools, and promotions for commercial teams and our customers to drive accelerated branded lens growth. Works with and guides the direct report team in ongoing analysis and development of data-based insights, financial model creation, ROI calculations, and proposing tactical solutions to address various business needs due to the evolving market landscape, customer requirements, consumer behavior, and competitive threats. Acts as key liaison between Global/Corporate marketing teams.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion premium brands internally to make sure the organization understands and integrates all brands into the annual plan.
- Align with Global to integrate new product innovations and technology enhancements.
- Facilitate alignment with all Channels of Trade (COT), to ensure that effective communication and growth activation plans are in place.
- Oversee the development and execution of targeted programs and promotions, and ensure support is provided for any national consumer promotions.
- Ensure that effective sales collateral and demonstration tools are available to support the commercial teams and our customers in effectively positioning and detailing premium brands.
- Partner with internal Centers of Excellence to ensure each brand is positioned correctly in trade media, merchandising, trade show and meeting, and consumer media strategies.
- Guide Marketing Analytics in identifying insights and propose meaningful solutions to ensure achievement of brand goals.
- Demonstrate leadership of team members and accountability of managing their activities and career development.
- Ensure legal compliance with plans, programs, and promotions.
- Meticulously track and report on budget.
- Travel as required to meetings, trade shows, in person trainings, etc.
- Conduct special projects as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree with at least 10 years of work experience in marketing or graduate degree with at least 7 years of work experience.
- Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles -- especially in Commercial, Channel or Product Marketing.
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience.
- Strong B2B marketing skills with a demonstrated focus in brand building, storytelling, and message development and delivery.
- A proven track record of analytical skills, including program ROI analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Ability to engage with customers to support training, RFP delivery, and product/brand expertise.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage budgets and lead and/or work in cross-functional groups.
- Ability to influence change within the organization at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in ophthalmic/healthcare/medical devices or relevant B2B.
- Prior work with sales and cross-functional teams.
