Are you super organized, self-driven, strategic and looking for a role on an Award-winning, inhouse Creative Team? Then this role may be for you! The Principal, Brand Marketing reports to our Creative Director and will own the strategic development and messaging coordination of projects end to end, including brief development, planning and executing campaigns with results. Responsible for the day-to-day marketing activities – and working with internal partners to make sure projects and campaigns are executed with data learning, customer insights and brand compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a track record of managing marketing and/or advertising projects. Strong project management and organizational skills are critical.
The Principal, Brand Marketing role assists with planning and day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns across email, print, digital, and media channels.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Participate in the development of marketing plans, creative briefs, consumer research and measurement plans.
- Be a brand steward and keep the customer experience top of mind across all communication touch points and campaigns.
- Manage day-to-day activities to execute integrated communications programs.
- Be able to manage multiple projects, including quality control, and keeping manager and internal clients informed of any activities that may affect delivery (quality, timing, cost, etc.).
- Ensure the Creative Team operates on a solid foundation by building strong working relationships with business partners in Legal, Compliance and across the lines of business.
- Gather project requirements, goals, and plan for success measurements from business owners and subject matter experts determined.
- Work with Creative team to ensure the work is on brief and on brand, as well as identify key tactics to maximize effectiveness and estimate costs.
- Assist in tracking and monitoring campaign results and other reporting trends affecting our businesses, including economic, industry, competitive and cultural factors, and shares findings with team members.
- Assist in data analysis identifying trends in customer behavior, portfolio statistics and campaign analytics, and make recommendations for campaign strategy improvement.
- Navigate internal procedures and processes to ensure delivery of best-in-class work and move work through the company effectively and efficiently. Ensure approvals are obtained by Legal and Compliance, and all applicable business owners on all phases of a project including creative concepts, copy, layouts, production proofs as applicable.
- Manage weekly status reports to be circulated to partner teams.
- Manage external partners in the creation of innovative customer communication pieces to support full stack marketing plan (e.g., letters, emails, postcards, video, and other digital media).
- Proven ability as a self-starter and a willingness to take ownership is essential to success. High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in related field.
- 3+ years of agency experience in developing and implementing integrated communications programs a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Interpersonal skills to relate with staff at all levels throughout the company. Experience building relationships in a remote environment a plus.
- Expertise in managing project timelines and effectively prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Proficiency in project management systems such as Workfront or Basecamp, as well as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with SQL and data analysis a plus.
- Experience with CRM and Campaign Management platforms such as IBM Campaign Manager and Salesforce Marketing, a plus.
- Position will be hybrid, with one day a week in the office.
